On 17 June, the Research Council of Norway (NFR) announced funding for 21 new Collaborative and Knowledge-building projects on energy and transportation research. NorthWind partners SINTEF Energy Research, SINTEF Ocean, NTNU and NINA have received funding for five new projects that will strengthen research in various areas relating to offshore wind.
These projects are:

NTNU | Ice, Wind and Structures |
NINA | Offshore wind farm wake effects on seabird flight energetics |
NTNU | Ageing mechanisms, performance and reliability of extruded HVDC cables |
SINTEF OCEAN AS | Coupled vibrations of large optimized floating wind turbines |
